When I was told by my endocrinologist that I would have to go onto insulin I was devastated. I did not want this. My BSL was as high as 23. I knew I had to do something, but what? Some months previous we had a visitor at our local church and this lady talked about a lifestyle change programme that she had taken part in, was this the answer? How do I do it? Can I do it? Where do I do it? All these things were going through my mind. My husband had been in touch with Peter Pratt and was encouraging me to join the programme. 13th January was the day I started on my lifestyle change programme.

The main reason why I decided to start the programme was to avoid going on insulin.

We learnt about foods and I was amazed at the additives and the poisonous effects that white sugar and flour had on our health. I wasn’t sure I could do without these foods but I wanted to give it a go. there was a lot of doubt about my ability to comply but if I wanted to avoid insulin I had no choice.

My BSL dropped dramatically only days into the lifestyle change. a week later I was off my medication, my doctor was pleased, I was ecstatic!. Is this for real?

That was all the motivation I needed to keep going. I was winning! I also noticed the I could move my big toe which had been rigid for at least 15 years. I was loosing weight, another plus. My sugar levels were stabilising  and I was not taking any medication. Wow!

I would encourage anyone to take part in this programme, It has changed my life and it can change yours. be brave and take the challenge, you won’t regret it.

I am now enjoying the non processed foods, it’s great. I  have lots more inclination and energy to do the things I love.
