Pumpkin soup is a favourite with many people. There is nothing like a nice pumpkin soup to start a meal especially on a cold winters day.

This recipe is put together from natural ingredients with no processed foods of any sort. Not only does this soup taste delicious but is totally safe to eat.


Ingredients:

  • 1kg fresh pumpkin
  • 1 small sweet potato (200g)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 3/4 cup of red lentils
  • 1 tbs of virgin cold pressed olive oil
  • Cracked pepper
  • Himalayan salt
  • Hot paprika powder

Method:

  1. Cube all vegetables into a mid size pot & add red lentils.
  2. Add olive oil.
  3. Pour enough water to cover all ingredients.
  4. Cook until all ingredients are soft.
  5. Add salt & pepper and a touch of hot paprika powder.
  6. Blend until a creamy consistency is achieved.
  7. Add extra salt & pepper to taste.
